Is the Magic is Gone?

Saturday S-man and I went to Disney on his company's dime. They had their Christmas Party at the Contemporary Hotel and then gave each family tickets to one park. We arrived around 11:00 and decided to take the tram to the hotel for the lunch. When we got to the tram S-man asked me if I had ever rode up front? 'No, you can do that?' Well yes you can. That was so much fun! It was almost like being on one of the rides. When we got tot he Contemporary is was decorated just wonderful. I had looked on-line to see what each hotel was doing special for the holidays. We went to see the special thing at the Contemporary. Here it is. It's made out of all gingerbread and chocolate.

The lunch was wonderful! They had the characters there for the kids to take pictures with and the food was Thanksgiving all over again. We then got back on the tram to the park with a detour to the Grand Floridian Hotel. Oh my, it was beautiful! I'd never seen it before. The special thing there was a life sized Gingerbread house. It smelled so good! It was so cute. You just wanted to eat it up.

Then back on the tram. We decided to go to the Magic Kingdom with our ticket. I kinda wanted to go the Epcot to see the countries, but S-man really wanted the Kingdom. It was so crowed! Some TV channel was there filming so they blocked off the streets for people to walk on. They did the show at the castle about 100 times. Every ride had at least a 45 min wait. There was two rides we really wanted to go on: Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Both had been updated, so we wanted to see the changes. Pirates had the most changes and it was pretty good. Mansion was OK. The changes were good but they didn't go with the older stuff that was always there. We wanted to go on a few other rides but the wait was too long, and I had a major headache; and I missed my little man. So we left with only going on two rides.

I guess once little man is old enough to go, it will get exciting for us again.
