I need some advice.
The HR Manager at work is retiring at the end of the month. I found out yesterday that they are not going to back fill her position.
I've been sitting with her to learn all the little functions of her job. Keep in mind that I did her job for eight weeks while she was out on FMLA earlier in the year.
They are 'talking' about moving her FMLA duties to division. If they do that a lot of the job will be gone.
I will be having my end of year review any day now.
My question is: Should I ask for more money since I will be doing two peoples job next year? Or should I thank my lucky stars that I have a job and keep my smiling mouth shut?

Personally, I would just be thankful for a job in this economy...
I totally agree with Heather. I would be very thankful to have a job these days....and the economy isn't anywhere near turning around just yet. I'd be happy with getting a good review and ecstatic if I got any type of raise.
