Yesterday I decided to do my Thanksgiving shopping. Before my trip I made a good list of everything that I was going to need. Then I got out my coupon box and found coupons for everything I was going to buy.
Off to the new Publix. It was a little busy. I drove everyone crazy when I picked up a few items that I was sure I had a coupon for. There was a number of good deals on the items I needed already. It took me awhile to find a medium sized turkey, but I found one on the bottom of the case.
With the cart full, I went to the checkout. Total bill: $76.00
Then I brought out the coupons. First the free baby items from the Publix Baby club. Then the $5.00 off a 12 pd or more turkey coupon from Albertsons. Then the $10.00 off a purchase of $50.00 or more from Winn-Dixie. The cashier wasn't sure if they took competitors coupons from two stores in one purchase. She asked a manager and yes they do! Then the pile of manufacture coupons. After coupons down to $50.00.
Then I took out the $25.00 gift card given to me by my company. Total bill: $26.00.
What can I say I'm going to feed five people for $26.00. I'm very happy!
