Predictions

Before I was born my Great-Great-Grandma predicted my birth. About a year before I was born "Little Grandma" gave my Mom a quilt. For as long as anyone can remember Little Grandma made a quilt for each new baby in the family. By the time I was born she was very old. She made the quilt early because she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to make a quilt when I was born.

My Mom was shocked when she gave her the quilt because she wasn't even pregnant. Little Grandma said not to worry that she would have a little girl to give it to.

Lately, I've been thinking that I might want to learn how to make quilts as well. In our times wonderful family traditions like quilt have been forgotten to buying blankets at Pottery Barn Kids.
