Packing for the hospital

Simon has been on my case about packing for the hospital. For some reason I've been putting it off and don't want to do it. I'm not sure what to pack and feel that I need a lot of what I would pack now.
I'm wearing the same outfits now that I wore half way thou the pregnancy, so I still need those. I'm still using my toiletries.
I know what I'm bringing for Nathan, but me I'm not sure.

What was something that you wish you would have brought and didn't, and what do I not need.

OK Let me think...

For yourself:
At this point why don't you make a list and write down everything you think you will need for the hospital. That way if you are suddenly forced to "up and run" you know exactly what to put in the bag....especially since you may forget something if you are in a rush or are having contractions. I liked having my pajama pants!...no nightshirt to show the undies. And for me, a little makeup (at least my concealer and powder!) made a world a difference for how I felt! ;)

For Nathan:
When I was there in the hospital I wish I had brought more outfits instead of just the one they went home it. While in the hospital he doesn't have to stay in that ole white t-shirt they give you. You can put him in something cute.....just make sure it isn't too constricting. A layette gown would be easy. The hospital will give you a digital, rectal thermometer and the nasal aspirator and lots of diapers....stock up on those while there!

For Simon:
uh....no beer allowed. Be sure to bring the camera. A toothbrush and shaver and some clean undies too. I suggest sleeping pants for him as well. :)

I'll let ya know if I think of anything else....you probably have already thought of these things. :)
