Diapers
So I've been trying to buy stuff that I think we will need right away for the baby once he is born to help with the cost. I purchased two 72 packs on newborn diapers a few weeks ago. then I got a great coupon from BJs and got a big box of more newborn size. How many should I have for the first few weeks; I figure even if he is a 8 pound baby he will lose a pound or two and then take some time to get to 10 pounds.

It's great to be prepared but beware that all babies are different. You could push out a ten pound baby or a 5 lb baby; a specific diaper may not fit as well as another; his skin may not take well to different brands; one may make "pills" vs another. Also if you buy way too many, in the end it might cost you MORE than if you had waited. If it were me, I would buy a pack or two of different kinds. If you are worried about cost, set your money aside now and buy them when he's here. Just my own two cents! :))
